Important Instructions for Candidates and Teachers Before Examinations
As exams approach, teachers and supervisors must ensure that students are well-prepared to follow these important guidelines to avoid issues during the examination:
- Exam Room Protocol: Students must be seated in the Examination Room at least five minutes before the exam begins. Talking is strictly prohibited once inside.
- Handling Exam Papers: If given the wrong exam paper, students must immediately inform the Supervisor.
- General Instructions: Students should pay attention to instructions on the question paper, such as using the correct stationery.
- Answer Sheet Guidelines: Do not fold answer sheets, copy questions, or spend too much time on one question. Hand in answer sheets when instructed to stop writing.
- Late Arrivals: Students arriving more than 30 minutes late will not be allowed to take the exam.
- Special Needs: Students with special educational needs are entitled to 25% extra writing time.
Cautions Against Malpractice:
- Examination Malpractice: Students must not bring unauthorized materials like books or phones into the exam room. Doing so will result in nullification of results.
- Teacher Misconduct: Teachers or any person helping students cheat will face criminal prosecution, and the student’s results will be voided.
- Awareness: Teachers must inform students of the consequences of cheating, which include nullification of all results and being barred from future exams.
- Misconduct: Disorderly behavior, use of vulgar language, or causing disturbances near the exam room will lead to disqualification.
By following these guidelines, students and teachers can ensure a smooth examination process free of malpractices.
